Description
Finding the engine RPM signal for the Racepak IQ3 and G2X systems is pretty straight forward for many cars. Oftentimes the signal can be obtained directly from the vehicle's existing tach signal wire. Sometimes, this signal does not meet the Racepak requirements (5-18V, 50% duty cycle, square wave output) and your readings will range from confused to erratic.
The Racepak GMR (Giant Magneto Resistive) Sensor acquires a tach signal inductively from a current carrying wire. If you've tried everything and still cannot obtain a clean signal, this is the solution. It can be used with a Capacitive Discharge Ignition, Inductive Coil per Cylinder Ignition, Distributor-less Coil Pack Ignition, or Diesel Injector. No cutting or splicing is required.
Includes detailed instructions. Choose model for G2X or IQ3 (also fits G2X Pro).
